lovin’ my fireplace
Here are a few shots from the other day of the girls in front of our fire place (same location as the pics of Jules a few weeks back with her doll). The window light from the side gives lovely shadows and dimension, and the fireplace brick is blackened from 50+ years of use and just dissapears in photographs.
I’m so into playing with light lately, I need to really start looking for those little corners and pockets of light that result in such interesting photographs. I feel like I’ve spent most of the last year practicing in basic, flat light (which I still love) that I find myself really wanting to experiment and play right now and see how far I can push things and get the results I want.
