just a few
Well, as you may have guessed by my continued lack of posting here and on flickr - my mojo is still hiding out somewhere (perhaps under the piles of dirty laundry, or the boxes waiting to go to Goodwill? If you happen to see it, please do let me know.). I keep my camera close by, in hopes that something will happen to rekindle my passion for / obsession with photography. It’s partially just been that life is crazy busy, with so many changes in the last several months that my head is continually spinning. I know I’ve still got it in me somewhere, I’ve just got to find a way to get it out!
I was incredibly honored, especially in light of how rarely I have been posting lately, to learn I had been featured on the new Blogs of Photographers website a few weeks ago. Please check it out – I’ve already revisited some photographers whose work has been inspiring me since the beginning, and discovered several new talented folks and up-and-coming photogs to (hopefully) inspire me to start shooting again.
Oh - and I just discovered this morning that my girl Brenda has some seriously awesome looking new actions for sale (I know, where have I been, right?). My fingers are itching to buy them right now…maybe that is just the incentive I need to take some pics to test them out on!

Hey! I just looked at your photoblog, it has been some time since I visited. I’m not much of a blog reader and I do not have one of my own, but I do from time to time look up people I see on flickr who inspire me and intrigue me. It has been I would say a good 3 yrs that my mojo has left me! If I had to be exact it might be longer than that. I have taken photos throughout this time, but nothing meaningful. Part of it being I had not quite moved into the digital world having been traditionally trained at an art school in Detroit and also here in Montreal. 2yrs after grad I had my first child. You would think as most of the mothers I see on flickr that this would have been a great opt for me to really go nuts, well nope. I was overwhelmed and really could not focus on anything but my child and the children once #2 came along. So now my first is 5 just started kind. and #2 is 2yrs and is alot more independent. I am finding my way back to image making! In your last post you wrote an essay… it hit home for me. I wanted to just reply to you and first off say thank you for sharing, let you know that your mojo is never lost, and sometimes we need to allow ourselves time to regroup, maybe this is your transition, maybe your insides want to move your image makeing to a different subject, or style, whatever may be, hang on tight and just go with the flow. I used to beat my self up about it all the time, but now I realise there had been other things and people who needed my focus more. Thanks again!
